Deborah Savage

Like the clothing and accessory line that bears her name, Deborah Savage is constantly evolving --- recreating herself and her craft. No longer wishing to be in retail (having owned two stores and a national mail order business) Deborah is designing and producing her designs in Boca Raton, Florida. Her work has been displayed in several shops and galleries in Florida, Michigan and Texas. Her Denim Handbags and Cigar Box Purses have been used in TV episodes of "Friends" and "Sex and the City".

Deborah's handmade jewelry creations have been featured in both Gulfshore Life and Naples (FL) magazines, as well as, the Miami Herald. Numerous pieces from her wearable art collection have been used in fashion shows in Naples and Sarasota, FL. In the Spring of 1994, Deborah was honored by the Florida Business Council as Top Business Woman for Collier County Florida. She recently contributed pattern designs for Sterling Publications (Fall, 2004 editions).

Deborah's most rewarding creations to date are her son Travis (living in Augusta, GA) and her daughter Stacy (living in Sarasota, FL).

Each piece is produced and handmade, with the emotion and spirit of a moment --- so although some themes are typical, every item is truly unique and one-of-a-kind.

A creative mixture of everyday and exotic materials has always been a theme of my work. Here's a sampling:

Embroidered silk with hand-made beads and woven accents.

Creative use of everyday materials with beads and adornments.
